Fidelio Orchestra – Mahler 9

October 29, 2022 7:00 PM

Gustav Mahler’s ninth symphony is a piece that many see as the culmination of the germanic symphonic tradition started in the eighteenth century. It is a piece that summarises the most advanced orchestral writing with the most intimate idea of the musical experience, making the orchestra take very contrasting characters at different moments. For those who have never heard it before, it will trigger a cascade of feelings and thoughts, for those who know it well, it will never stop bringing back new and old memories.
